Local High School Sports Recaps For Labor Day Weekend

Football
West Noble at Wawasee
Wawasee is still searching for its first win of the season after being defeated 55-6 by West Noble Saturday afternoon. The Warriors are now 0-2.
The game was suspended due to weather on Friday night and finished off Saturday.
The Warriors begin conference play Friday night at NorthWood.
Bluffton at Manchester
Manchester kept it tight against a very good Bluffton team Friday night but ultimately fell 28-14. The Squires are now 0-2 this fall.
Manchester will resume Three Rivers Conference play Friday against Wabash.
Peru at Whitko
Whitko fell 27-6 to Peru Friday night in its Three Rivers Conference opener. The game was called due to weather midway through the second quarter and did not resume. The Wildcats are now 0-2.
Wildcats quarterback Crew Ebbinghouse threw for 44 yards and a touchdown pass to Riley Harman, who had all 44 yards receiving. Landon Smith ran for six yards.
Whitko is on the road at Rochester this week.
Triton at Bremen
Triton fell to .500 on the season Friday night, losing 21-3 to Bremen. The Trojans are now 1-1 this fall.
Jayden Overmyer ran for 71 yards. Vinny Prater had 27 yards on the ground. The lone Triton points came on a 26-yard field goal by Dante Workman.
Triton hosts Culver Community Friday.
Volleyball
Warsaw at Plymouth Powerball Tournament
Warsaw volleyball won the Plymouth Powerball Tournament for the third year in a row Saturday, defeating Morgan Township, Valparaiso, Penn and Chesterton to take home the trophy after an undefeated day. Warsaw is now 8-4 this season.
The Lady Tigers begin conference play Tuesday night at Mishawaka.
Boys Soccer
Warsaw at Mishawaka Marian
Warsaw boys soccer is still undefeated this season after defeating Mishawaka Marian 3-0 on the road Saturday. The Tigers are now 4-0-1 this fall.
Callen O’Brien had a goal and an assist in the win. Mydin Burgher and Luke Barbosa each scored a goal as well.
Warsaw hosts Concord Wednesday night.
