BOURBON – Barry C. Cullison, 81, of Etna Green, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, in his home.
Barry was born to Charles and Maxine Kintzel Cullison on Aug. 24, 1943, in Warsaw. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1962 and went to Butler University, earning a Bachelor of Science and then earned his master’s degree in teaching. He married Cindy Fisher on June 21, 1975, in Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, and she survives. He retired from teaching at Triton School Corporation. He attended Lake City Pentecostals of Warsaw. He supported his son with his lawncare service, grew hydroponic tomatoes, rode dirt bikes and was a motocross flagger. He loved his dogs, his church, singing and helping others, but he loved spending time with his family the most.
Barry is survived by his wife, Cindy Cullison, of Etna Green; his son, Jacob Cullison (significant other, Melissa Robinson), of Etna Green; his granddaughter, Evyn Maxine Cullison, of Warsaw; his grandson, Hayden Farmer, of Winona Lake; his brother-in-law, Steve (Dee) Fisher, of Fishers; his sister-in-law, Anita Cullison, of Bufford, Ga.; and his brother, Dr. Stephen (Margaret) Cullison, of Hoffman Lake; his caregiver, Santiago Juarez, of Warsaw; and many nieces and nephews.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Maxine Cullison; his brothers: Sammy Cullison, Ronald Cullison, Dennis Cullison; and his nephew, Chris Cullison.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. at Lake City Pentecostals, 825 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, with Pastor Phillip Chandler officiating. Interment will take place on Friday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. in Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green.
