Four people were injured during an accident on North CR 400E, 300 feet north of East CR 100N, in Warsaw Friday.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office accident report, a black Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Slater B. Craig, 20, South CR 600E, Pierceton, was driving south on North CR 400E.
Craig was looking at his phone for directions and didn’t notice he was over the center line of the road. Craig said he crested a hill in the road and a Red Jeep Compass, driven by Crystal L. Ewing, 41, Plymouth, was going north. Craig said there was no time to avoid the collision.
Ewing said she was driving north and saw Craig’s vehicle in her lane, but was unable to avoid a collision.
Ewing complained of knee/lower leg/foot pain.
Three passengers in Ewing’s vehicle were also injured. Heidi E. Kitchel, 15, Plymouth, complained of back pain. Julia L. Harrison-Gibbs, 22, had minor bleeding to the face. A 1-year-old had non-visible injuries to their body.
Ewing and all three passengers in Ewing’s vehicle were transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
