Banning Presents Second
In Summer Message Series
ATWOOD – Atwood Otterbein Church Pastor David Banning presented the second in his summer message series titled “How Does God Save.” He tackled the century-old question of what does it mean to be saved … and from what … and what is salvation anyway? He shared that the answer requires a brutal assessment of who we are. As Paul reminded us, we are all sinners, and we must be saved from ourselves.
The church’s women’s group, Sisterhood in Faith, will be holding a big rummage sale on June 22 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. There will be estate sale items, multi-family donations, a refrigerator, folding chairs and other items.
Sisterhood in Faith is also planning a one-day bus trip to Saugatuck, Mich., on Aug. 7. The public is invited to join the group. More information is available on the church website at www.atwoodotterbeinchurch.org or their Facebook page at Atwood Otterbein Church.

Rummage Sale At Trinity Pentecostal Lighthouse Church
Trinity Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 125 Fawley St., Warsaw, is having a rummage sale Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Available will be clothes for all ages, household items, power tools, lawn equipment and more.
Sacred Heart To Hold Community Meal
Sacred Heart Church’s March community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, on Tuesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. or until food runs out, with the option of coming into the gym to pick up carry-out meals.
The meal this month will feature a hot dog on a bun, chili mac, watermelon and desserts. This month’s dinner is provided and served by the Sacred Heart youth group, along with Sacred Heart parishioners. There is no charge for the meal. All in the community are welcome.

To Hold Baptism For Youth
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Sunday, join Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, for worship. Youth will be baptized at a lakeside service at the Beaver Dam Lake boat launch at 8 a.m. The vacation Bible school wrap-up service is at 9:30 a.m. at the church. The youth retreat wrap-up service at YCL Campground at 10:30 a.m.
On Monday, the Wheels on Fire meeting is at 6:30 p.m.
On June 20-22, there will be church directory pictures taken. They will be June 20 and 21 from 2 to 8:30 p.m. and June 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m You do not need to be a member to have your picture taken. The general community is invited. It is free and everyone who has their picture taken will receive a complimentary 8x10 with the opportunity to purchase more. CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 105 S. Church St., Claypool, will start their week with adult and childrens’ Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The church likes to fellowship from 10:10 a.m. until we gather in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. for a sermon, prayers and songs of praise. If you are unable to come, tune into Facebook at Claypool UMC, Indiana.
The vacation Bible school committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Monday to finalize and set up for Wednesday through Friday VBS. The theme this year is "Fruit of the Spirit." They will start at 10:30 a.m. and go until 12:30 p.m. There will be Bible stories, music,games, crafts and lunch. You can register children 3-12 years of age with Pastor Yoder at 574-265-1329.
The church is already half way through its reading of Luke for the month of June. You can join them in the reading of Luke any day or time.

BURKET – Burket Bible Church, 102 Market St., Burket, welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "A Father's Love" from Luke 15:11-24. The message of the prodigal son illustrates God's fatherly love for us, and the love fathers should have for their families.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Java Jacks in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. Study starts at 9 a.m.
The church will host bingo at Miller's Merry Manor at 6 p.m. June 17. The church council meeting is June 18.

Main St., Mentone, for its vacation Bible school Camp Firelight Monday through June 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. for ages 3 (potty trained) through fifth grade. Learn to trust God through many ways such as music, Bible stories, games, science and crafts.
On Sunday during worship service beginning at 10:15 a.m., Pastor Emily Gearhart will present the message “The Little Children and Jesus.” The scripture is Mark 10:13-16. They will also honor the fathers and men of the church.
Join the church on Friday for its movie night at 6 p.m. The movie will be “God’s Not Dead 2: A Light in the Darkness.”
The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school exploring God’s Amazing Animals for children 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old. Sunday Bible school kids stay in the sanctuary on the first Sunday of each month for Communion. There is no Wednesday Night Feast and Fellowship/Youth until fall.
