Warsaw Man Arrested After Police Pursuit

A Warsaw man was arrested after leading police on a pursuit Sunday.
At 11:42 a.m., the Warsaw Police Department was dispatched to Walmart, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw, for a shoplifting complaint, according to a news release from the WPD.
Walmart asset protection personnel informed Kosciusko County Dispatch that the male suspect - identified as Ridley Lee Brown, 44, Warsaw - fled the store and got into a red 2007 Suzuki XL7. A WPD patrol officer saw the Suzuki in the Walmart parking lot and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
The Suzuki fled westbound on U.S. 30 at speeds in excess of 100 mph, the release states. After turning north on CR 800W, the suspect vehicle hit a tire deflation device deployed by a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office deputy. Brown drove for several miles on damaged tires before he was apprehended without further incident.
Brown is currently incarcerated in the Kosciusko County Jail on the following charges: parole violation warrant, resisting law enforcement, reckless driving, possession of marijuana and theft.
