Monthly Progress On TVHS Construction Project Includes Weight Room, Pool, Auditorium Work

AKRON — The weight room, pool and auditorium were some parts of Tippecanoe Valley High School's construction project worked on in the last month.
The Skillman Corp. Project Manager Scott Rogers provided an update to the Tippecanoe Valley School Board at its monthly public work session on Thursday. Skillman is the construction management company for the project.
According to materials provided to the board at the meeting, among the parts completed in the last four weeks are: "Complet(ing) load bearing masonry walls around locker room and weight room additions; pour(ing the) concrete slab on (the) deck for (the) mechanical mezzanine; set(ting) structural steel joists for locker room and weight room additions; beg(inning) setting (the) roof deck for locker room and weight room additions; continu(ing) masonry walls around the stage box in the auditorium; beg(inning) setting up supports for (the) auditorium upper level slab on (the) deck; and complet(ing) drains in (the) deep end of (the) pool and grad(ing) out slopes for (the) concrete."
Plans for the next month include "pour(ing) concrete in the deep end of the pool," "complet(ing) load bearing masonry walls around (the) stage box in (the) auditorium" and "start(ing the) underground excavation for (the) fire suppression tank."
The board's regular meeting will be 6 p.m. Monday at Mentone Elementary School.

Northridge Downs Warsaw For Conference Championship
