WINONA LAKE – The Winona Lake Town Council will hold a public hearing on a petition for voluntary annexation at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall.

The proposed annexation is for an approximate 119.4-acre segment of land contiguous to the town’s current boundary on the south side of Pierceton Road and to the east of CR 275E. The proposed annexation petition is filed by 100% of the landowners of the land contained within the annexation. It also involves a consideration of a change of the zoning classification from the county’s current zoning classifications to the town’s current zoning classification as residential.

Written suggestions or objections to the provisions of the annexation may be filed with Town Manager Craig Allebach before the hearing and will be heard by the council on Tuesday.

Interested persons desiring to present their views upon the proposed annexation, either in writing or verbally, will be given the opportunity to be heard at Tuesday’s meeting. Copies of the proposed annexation petition with a map and the fiscal plan may be examined, made available or copied at the Winona Lake Town Hall, 1310 Park Ave.

For more information, contact Allebach at 574-267-7581 or [email protected].
