Merit Badge Instructor Joe Hawn, Winona Lake town marshal, who teaches members of Boy Scout Troop 715 the “Crime Prevention” Merit Badge, made arrangements for a tour of the Justice Building. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy Chris Francis led the tour and gave the Scouts inside knowledge of the justice system facilities. Troop 715 meets each Monday at the Trinity United Methodist Church on East Center from 7 to 8 p.m. Any boy or girl interested in Scouting is welcome. Parents with any questions may call Scoutmaster Dick McCleary at 574-267-6576. This summer, Joe Frush, assistant Scoutmaster, is planning for the group to do some backpacking in the hills of southern Indiana, journey into some caves, visit some historical villages and go geode hunting. Several other adult leaders will join the adventure. Pictured (L to R) are, front row: Brenda Herrera, Aaron Herrera, Chris Cook, Gabe Anderson; back row: Lisa Amburgy, Alex Jordan, Joe Hawn, Jeffrey Naundorf-Miller, Andrew Frush, Joe Frush, Ariel Herrera and Francis.
