Silver Lake Debates KEDCo Dues

July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.

SILVER LAKE – After some debate, the town of Silver Lake decided to renew dues for one more year with KEDCO.
Dues for KEDCO are $500. Council members Phil Shalley and Gale Owens didn’t see any benefit to the town from KEDCO, but Shalley was on the fence over dues renewal.
Council President Chad Miner proposed approving the dues for one more year to give KEDCO a chance to see improvement. The motion passed two to one.
The town also announced music in Memory Park on July 15, featuring the Rick Webb family gospel singers. The town invites residents to bring their lawn chairs. A back-up plan is in place in the event of inclement weather.
The town of Leesburg meets again Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. in the town hall.[[In-content Ad]]
