Property taxes are too high and they continue to go up. Records show that from 1980 to 2005, they have increased over 450 percent, and with a great number of homeowners' tax bills this year, they are continuing upward at an alarming pace.

Senior citizens, homeowners, farmers and businesses will lose their property if they cannot pay their property taxes. Something must be done to address the crisis that is now affecting many in local communities throughout our state!

We have learned that Eric Miller, director and founder of Advance America, is coming to Warsaw on the evening of Sept. 20 at the Center Lake Pavilion to address the repeal of property taxes. He has held meetings all over the state on this issue that has drawn thousands.

Former governor Doc Bowen did not step up for Hoosiers in 1973 when property taxes were out of control, and now the same problems are once again happening with accelerating property taxes we are now seeing. Doc says, "No one is better positioned or qualified to lead the effort to repeal property taxes than Eric Miller."

Local state Representatives Dave Wolkins and Bill Rupple have signed on in support of a Constitutional Amendment on the ballot to repeal property taxes. Miller is coming to Warsaw to let people know how this can happen. Property taxes affect all of us and you should be there.
