NORTH WEBSTER - If all goes well, North Webster will be getting a miniature golf course.

Wednesday, Chris Bruno presented the town council with the plans for the course she and her husband, Dennis, are planning. She was seeking a letter of support from the town so when she goes before the various county boards for approval of the project, the process may be easier.

The course will be next to the Bruno's laundromat, Scrub A Dub, on Ind. 13, North Webster. The 18-hole course will have 20 parking spaces and four 16-foot tall corner lights. The tree on the site will remain, and the course will include a waterfall. A 4-foot fence is planned around the course.

The council approved a letter of support for the Brunos' miniature golf course.

In other business, the council:

• Approved a letter of support for the Church of God's building addition project. The church, on Ind. 13, will attempt to vacate an alley next to the church and build their facilities with setbacks of less than the required 35 feet.

"It'll be a really nice addition," said Andrews of the church's plans, which include a fellowship hall with a stage and nursery and toddler rooms.

• Approved N. Trzcinski's petition to rezone ground from residential to a commercial district. The property is on the northeast side of Main Street. The Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission approved unanimously on Nov. 6 to recommend to the town the rezoning be approved.

• Accepted the resignation of North Webster Police Officer Darrell Sopher with regret, effective Nov. 25. Sopher plans to work in the private sector. The hiring process to replace Sopher has begun, according to North Webster Town Marshal Greg Church.

• Heard Eckert Bay will be dredged the first week of December.

• Approved the year-end meeting to be Dec. 23 at 1 p.m.

• Heard the next open house for the community center is Nov. 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. The theme is "Passport to Fun" and everyone is welcome. There will be eight rooms or more of activities. Light snacks will be provided. [[In-content Ad]]
