He was born May 6, 1945, in Huntington, to Edward and Dorothy Jones Kneller. On Sept. 28, 2002, in Anderson, he married Jennifer Gough, who survives.
He lived most of his life in the Kosciusko County area. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963-65. He served in Germany as a supply clerk. He attended Porter Business College, where he studied accounting. He was a cost accountant at Seletex, Lagro, and worked at Tri-State Harvester, Silver Lake, for 17 years, and Dana Corp., Syracuse, for 25 years as a machinist, retiring in 2005. He was also a union official at Dana Corp. He was on the Town Council of Silver Lake. He collected and refurbished wheel horse lawn mowers and tractors and loved to work in the family garden.
Also surviving are two sons, Andrew Joseph (and spouse Melissa) Kneller, Anderson, and Travis Saul, Syracuse; a daughter, Lany Saul, North Webster; his mother, Dorothy E. (and spouse Wilbur) Brake, Silver Lake; three brothers, David W. (and spouse Jane) Kneller and Don (and spouse Bea) Ferverda, all of Silver Lake, and Marc Alan (and spouse Teresa) Kneller, Spencerville, Ohio; a sister, Linda K. (and spouse Tim) Johnson, Pierceton; four grandchildren, Ryan, Devin and Corey Kneller, all of Anderson, and Layne Gilliland, North Webster; seven nieces and nephews; 12 great- nieces and -nephews; and a great-great niece. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating and with military honors by members of American Legion Post 49, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126 and the ARNG. Burial will be at a later date.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
