More than 500 servings of ice cream were dished out April 15 at Madison Elementary School to celebrate their fundraising efforts from the Read-A-Thon. The Echoes of the Past was on hand with a vintage John Deere tractor to make tractor-driven ice cream to serve the students and staff. Students were asked to seek pledges for reading. Funds from the Read-A-Thon will be used by the PTO for various projects within the school. To find a dish of ice cream at one of Echoes of the Past’s upcoming events in the area, follow the club on its website at www.theechoesofthepast.com or on its Facebook page.
