NORTH WEBSTER – Edward L. “Ed” Chivington, 66, of North Webster, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at his residence.

He was born on Aug. 26, 1952, in Fort Wayne, to Eugene and Mary Reichard Chivington. He graduated in 1970 from West Noble High School.

On March 25, 1972, in Fort Wayne, he married Gloria J. Huffman. She died April 2, 2019.

He retired from Zimmer Biomet in Warsaw after six years and formerly worked at Dana Corp. in Syracuse for 20-plus years. He was a lifetime Noble/Kosciusko County area resident and lived in the North Webster area for over 30 years.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and tinkering in the garage fixing things.

He is survived by twin daughters, Stacey (Rich) Vester of Syracuse and Tracey (Steve) Harris of Columbia City; a son, Joseph Chivington of Warsaw; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Chivington of Cromwell.

He was preceded by his parents; son, Craig Chivington; two sisters, Ruth Neal and Karen Mertens; and two brothers, Joseph and Bob Chivington.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.

Private family services will take place at a later date.

Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
