SYRACUSE – A Warsaw man was arrested in connection to the stabbing of a Milford man in Syracuse.
Jordan Stone, 24, of 4159 N. CR 100E, Warsaw, was arrested Sunday and charged with battery with a deadly weapon, according to a news release from the Syracuse Police Department.
At 3:51 a.m. Sunday, the Syracuse Police Department was informed by Goshen General Hospital that they had received a patient with stab wounds that reportedly occurred in Syracuse.
The investigation found the stabbing was the result of a fight that began at Duffy’s Bar, Syracuse, and had progressed to the parking lot north of the bar.
The victim was identified as Gabriel Rhodes, 22, Milford.
The suspect fled from the scene in a vehicle along with three other unidentified occupants. Officers were able to make contact with the suspect later in the day, at which time he was taken into custody.
Rhodes was transferred from Goshen General Hospital to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
The Syracuse Police Department was assisted by the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Winona Lake Police Department.
