Weather permitting, beginning Monday, Sept. 16, traffic signal upgrades will begin at the intersection of Center and Buffalo streets in downtown Warsaw.

During this project, traffic at the intersection of Center and Buffalo streets will be controlled by a four-way stop. All sidewalks will be closed around the immediate intersection.

This project will install new black powder-coated poles, a new controller box and new ADA ramps at the sidewalks. The existing poles are leaning, and the wiring and controller box are outdated, according to a news release from the city of Warsaw.

Larger, lit street name signs will be added. New LED street lights will be installed.

This project is expected to last one month, weather permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution near this intersection during the duration of the project. No other intersections will be affected.
