Beginning sometime late this month, Norfolk Southern Railroad will begin replacing railroad crossing warning devices at the following crossings: Pope Street, Winona Avenue, Market Street, Center Street, Main Street, Fort Wayne Street, Lyon Street and Arthur Street.
This railroad project will take approximately eight months to complete, according to a news release from the city of Warsaw. Work will begin at the southernmost crossings, moving north.
Crews may work on more than one crossing at a time, depending on available manpower. Crossings should remain open at most times, with some intermittent lane restrictions and short-term closures.
Additional updates will be provided on the city’s Facebook page (facebook.com/CityofWarsawIN) as more information becomes available.
