Purse Bingo Set For April 12 At The Roost
Staff Report
Friday, March 17, 2023 5:43 PM
The Kosciusko County Republican Women’s Club invites the public to Purse Bingo on April 12 at The Roost (Creighton’s).
Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the first bingo game will start at 6 p.m.
You must be 21 or older to participate and there will be no spectators.
Tickets are $50 and will include a food buffet. For each round of bingo, the prize will be a designer purse. There will also be raffle tickets available to purchase (cash only) during the event to participate in the chance to win a variety of other luxury items such as jewelry, facials, manicures, pedicures, etc. between bingo games, according to a news release from the club.
As a women’s organization invested in the safety and continued betterment of Kosciusko County, a portion of the proceeds raised will be donated to Beloved: Not Forgotten in Warsaw. The mission of Beloved: Not Forgotten is to provide every domestic sex trafficking survivor in Indiana with access to transformative care. The aftercare and empowerment of people who have been sexually exploited and trafficked is their focus. Beloved's home offers programs for young women, these programs provide holistic care of mind, body and soul in a safe environment, hopefully increasing the chance that they will stay in the program and continue the healing process.
In addition to donating to Beloved: Not Forgotten, the club will be collecting miscellaneous everyday household cleaning products and hygiene products in exchange for a special raffle ticket for the chance to win a Kate Spade Purse. These items will be donated to the pantry at the Head Start Program in Warsaw. Participants in the Head Start Program can earn “head start dollars” by participating in activities with their children and then spend these in the pantry to get items they need.
Tickets can be purchased using cash or check (check made to Kosciusko GOP). They can be purchased at the Republican Headquarters, 123 E Center St., Warsaw, (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. or Saturday noon to 3 p.m.); at Buffalo St. Emporium, 116 S. Buffalo St. (Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.); or at Warsaw Engineering, 2780 Durbin St., Warsaw (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 to 4 p.m.).
