The theme for October’s First Friday will be “Art-Tober.”

It will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 2 downtown Warsaw.

The event will feature Lakeland Art Association’s En Plein-Aire Artist’s Competition and Exhibition, children’s arts and crafts, artists’ exhibits by RedBird Art Studio, opportunities to meet the candidates, a live Splat Experience! and more, according to a news release from First Friday coordinators Paula Bowman and Trisha Steger.

There is no cost to enter the art competition. Check-in is 7 to 9 a.m. at Latte Lounge, 108 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw. Judging is at 5:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, third and honorable mention. Awards are at 6:30 p.m. For more information about the contest, email or call 574-457-6087.
