A Nappanee man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Elkhart County.

Matthew Bryant, 34, of Nappanee, suffered a possible fractured pelvis, and Nathan Farnham, 21, Goshen, had a head injury, according to an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department crash news release.

Both drivers were flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital.

The release said Bryant was southbound on CR 30 at the intersection of CR 9 in his black GMC Safari. Farnham was traveling east in his silver Honda Civic on CR 9 at the four-way intersection.

According to police, Bryant disregarded the stop sign, and the front end of his Safari hit the driver’s door of Farnham’s Civic. The crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

While Farnham was wearing his seatbelt, the release states Bryant was not.

The crash remains under investigation.
