MENTONE – A house fire Wednesday in Mentone is still under investigation.

Mentone Fire Department was called to 12485 W. CR 700S, Mentone, at 7:38 p.m. Wednesday, according to Fire Chief Mike Yazel. The house is owned by Charles Tucker.

There was a fire in the south end of the building, Yazel said.

There were no injuries during the fire and there was no one home at the time of the fire, he said.

The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate, Yazel said. There is no cause of the fire at this time.

The estimated cost of damage is $25,000-$35,000 to the structure.

MFD was assisted by Burket and Akron fire departments. They left the scene at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
