Over the next two years, Medtronic will be moving some of its manufacturing jobs from Warsaw to other locations.

An email Wednesday from Michelle Claypool, senior principal communications generalist and employee communications, said there was no specific number of “of impacts to communicate at this time as the total impact to employees may change over the lifecycle of the project, which will occur in phases over approximately the next two years.”

Her email also stated, “Medtronic operates within a highly competitive global healthcare environment. Throughout  the company’s global locations, we consistently evaluate our operations to advance growth, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen our position for the future. As a result, Medtronic is transitioning some manufacturing from the facility in Warsaw, Ind., to other Medtronic manufacturing facilities within its operations network. The Warsaw site will remain open and continue to manufacture other products. We recognize the strong work, dedication, and quality of the Warsaw team and are providing employee assistance to help impacted employees through the transition.”
