Birthday surprise

Thursday, April 9, 2020 7:36 PM
Nash Polston waves with his dad, Nathan, as a surprise parade of police cars from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Warsaw and Winona Lake police departments lead a 44-car birthday parade past his house. Nash turned 5 on Thursday and was originally going to celebrate the big day with his family in Florida. The current health emergency orders to stay at home changed those plans. At left, Nash sits with gifts he received from drivers in the surprise birthday parade. Decorated vehicles driven by neighbors, friends and even police officers, with the lights and sirens going, honked their way past his house and to wish him happy birthday.
