SYRACUSE – Wawasee High School invites the public to be their guest for the spring musical of “Beauty and the Beast.”

The shows are 7 p.m. March 27 and 28, with a 2 p.m. show March 29.

All seats are reserved and can be purchased online or at the door. Adults are $10, seniors are $8 and students are $7. Tickets can be purchased online at wawaseeperformingarts.ludus.com or by calling the high school at 574-457-3147.

The show is directed by Kristin Bonner and her assistant, Mindy Coblentz. Joining Bonner and Coblentz on the production crew are Shannon Rose as the music director and Chris Dykhuisen as the stage manager. Shelly Judy is the rehearsal pianist and professional choreography is designed by Meghann Wood of Lee Anne Stewart Dance School.

The WHS cast will portray the characters that many will recognize from both of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” movies. The audience will see talking clocks, teapots, candlesticks, feather dusters and more as these budding young actors work to dazzle, delight and enchant you.

The case and crew have been feverishly working to perfect their singing, dancing, acting and theatrical set, according to Coblentz. “Wawasee Performing Arts is on the rise with so many talented young actors,” she said, adding that as of Tuesday more than half of the tickets have been sold.

“You will not want to miss this entertaining tale as old as time!” she said.
