The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts announced auditions for youth/teens for its next Wagon Wheel Jr. production.

The Halloween-themed show will be determined after the auditions.

The Wagon Wheel also will have auditions for its professional holiday show of “Annie.” Casting will be for the roles of Annie and the orphans, and girls should be 9 to 15 years old.

Both shows will be auditioned at the same time. Simply fill out the form when you arrive stating which show or shows you wish to be considered for. You can audition for just the WWJR show, “Annie” or both.

Be certain to double check all rehearsal dates and performances. Due to limited time constraints, the theater cannot accommodate multiple conflicts. For more information, visit the website at wagonwheelcenter.org or email wagonwheeljr.kids@gmail.com.

Auditions for ages 9 to 11 are at 10 a.m. Aug. 17, and ages 12 to 18 are at 11:30 a.m. in the Wagon Wheel lobby, 2515 E. Center St., Warsaw. Callbacks for “Annie” will take place at 1 p.m.

No need to prepare anything. Those who audition will be taught a short song. Girls asked to stay for callbacks for “Annie” will be singing selections from the show.

New Opportunity

The Wagon Wheel is excited to expand opportunities for local youth in its WWJR productions by offering a non-performance role as assistant stage manager (ASM).

The ASM will assist the stage manager at every rehearsal and performances with organizing props and scenery, script prompting, preparing the stage/rehearsal hall, cleaning, etc. This volunteer position is available to anyone in grades 7-12. This is another way to get involved in theatre. If interested, email Jennifer Dow at jen@wagonwheelcenter.org.
