Debra Collier’s School Of Dance To Present ‘Oh, The Places You’ll Go!’
Staff Report
Thursday, June 2, 2022 1:00 AM
Pictured (L to R) are dancers from the opening number, “Seussville”: Avaleigh Fuller, Makenna Miller, Lilly Martinez, Olivia Weyant, Natalee Stetzel, Olivia Starkweather and Brooklynn Rolston. Photo provided.
The stage will come alive with excitement and creativity as the students of Debra Collier’s School of Dance perform in the studio’s 45th annual recitals, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go,” according to a news release provided.
Performers from the studio will take the stage Saturday for three performances at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center. From the whimsical discoveries in “Seussville!” to the energy of Downtown Chi-town, the dancers will sweep the audience away on an entertaining adventure, the release states.
Over 100 students will be recognized in the program for five or more continuous years of study. The studio will recognize Natalya Werbianskyj for her 20th consecutive season at DCSD.
“We are very proud of the students, their dedication and hard work,” said Deb Collier. “It is exciting to celebrate their accomplishments.”
Collier’s will celebrate Ashley Cassel who has been guiding parents and students through their dance journey for the last 10 years from behind the front desk.
Instructor Amy Clay will be retiring from teaching at the studio after 31 years.
“Amy has inspired so many students throughout the years, teaching them so much more than dance. I am very thankful to have had Amy on staff sharing her creativity and passion for dance with everyone,” Collier said.
Presale tickets for the performances may be purchased at tututix.com or at the Performing Arts Center 30 minutes prior to each performance, which begin at 11 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m.
For more information about the programs offered, contact the studio at 574-267-7055 or visit collierdance.com.
