Editor, Times-Union:

The popularity contest or the lesser of two evils is about over. I’m talking about the primary election. I’m getting a postcard every day telling me how great the candidate is.

I can’t wait until the political Letters to the Editor are over. Sometimes I just skim the letter because the letters are too long. Some of the letters are misleading, either the writer doesn’t know and doesn’t care about the truth.

I must remember it is only politics when transparency is awful muddy.
