Editor, Times-Union:

My name is Wendy Fairchild. I’m running for the Warsaw Community School Board, district 1. I’ve lived in Kosciusko County for many years and I have been a small business owner in Warsaw for nearly 30 years. My husband and I have a daughter in the Warsaw school system.

The possibility of running for the Warsaw School Board has been on my mind for several years. Recently I was asked by friends to consider running.

The opportunity has evolved naturally and I look forward to following this path as far as it takes me.

I want to advocate for the kids of our community. I hope for all kids to follow their dreams throughout their time in Warsaw schools. I want them to learn to set and reach their goals, to grow into successful adults whatever their career path might be. I believe Warsaw Community Schools is doing a good job in this department and I want to be a part of continuing and growing this feature of our school system. I also want to advocate for our community which includes teachers and support staff and all those people who spend time with our kids.

I view being a part of the Warsaw School Board as an opportunity to serve the community. Helping to continue to make our schools and our community great places to be.

Find me on Facebook at Fairchild for School Board.
