Correcting Himself
Thursday, August 11, 2022 1:00 AM
Editor, Times-Union:
In a previous letter (8-05-22) while writing about the passing of my wife Catherine, near the end of the letter I?mentioned that a wife should accept her husband’s “ugly appetites.” That didn’t come out right!
I’m reminded of a comment by one-time “700 Club” co-host Ben Kinchlow, speaking from a Biblical perspective. He stated that God basically tells us, concerning marriage: “Husbands, love your wives.”?Then, to the women: “Wives, respect your husbands.”
Simple enough. “Love, and respect.”
But, also, “put God first in your lives.” Matthew 6:33.
Be a blessing to one another, it may cut down on any regrets.
