NAPPANEE – Roger L. Reaker, age 75, of Nappanee, died at 5 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at Signature Healthcare in Bremen after a three-year battle with Alzheimer’s.  

Roger was born on Oct. 15, 1945, to George and Cleo Davis Reaker in Plymouth, and was a lifelong Nappanee area resident. He was a 1965 Bremen High School graduate. Roger married Bethel Stouder on Aug. 6, 1966, in Bremen. She preceded him in death on Jan. 17, 2017.

Roger worked at Mutschler Brothers, Newmar and Travel Supreme. He enjoyed working in the factories and the friendships he made there. Roger never knew a s stranger and was always willing to lend a hand. He loved and adored his family and was always present in their lives. Roger especially enjoyed his grandchildren and watching all of their sporting events.  

He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Roger is survived by three daughters: Heather (Troy) Sell, of Etna Green; Shannon (Tobias) Sell, of Nappanee; and Shelley (Dane) Bradberry, of Nappanee; 12 grandchildren: Danielle Diemer, Kodi Diemer, Christian (Taylor) Diemer, Derek Diemer, Drew Bradberry, Blaine Holmes, Caitlin Lower, Marshall Sell, Tyler Blosser, Mikayla Blosser, Madisyn Sell and Trevor Sell; eight great-grandchildren; five siblings: Donna (Kenny) Muncy, of Bremen; Marlo (Dar) Reaker, of Florida; John (Sue) Reaker, of Bremen; Betty (Steve) Denman, of Osceola; and Ronnie Reaker, of Bremen.  

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and wife.  

Friends may call at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, Monday, Oct. 19 from 1 to 6 p.m. and for one hour prior to services Tuesday, Oct. 20. Funeral services will be held at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Matt Cottrill of Bourbon United Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee.
