Richard “Dick” Barnes, 91, of Bermuda Run, N.C., former longtime resident of Warsaw, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, in Winston-Salem, N.C.

He was born March 11, 1929, in Parke County, to Pearle and Vesta Barnes.

He was preceeded in death by his parents; first wife, Margaret Ann Barnes; and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, at home; son, David (Patti), of Advance, N.C.; son, Alan (Judy), of Muncie; stepdaughter, Alisha Burgess (Mark), of Macon, N.C.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was former executive vice president of Sun Metal Products, member of the Warsaw Community School Board, member of the First United Methodist Church and various other local organizations.

Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
