Matthew James Bailey

Matthew James Bailey, 53, originally of Warsaw, passed away after a brief illness April 3, 2022, at UC San Diego Medical Center in San Diego, Calif.
Matthew was born Feb. 7, 1969, in Warsaw, to Wintford and Leona Lee Bailey. Matthew was a graduate of Warsaw Community High School in 1988. Matthew, after graduation, went to Ball State University in 2004 for his teaching major in social studies for four years. In 2009, Matthew enlisted in the United States Navy, where Matthew resided for 18 years. Matthew, while in the Navy, was a master-at-arms (MP).
Matthew was a Christian and loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Matthew is survived by two sisters: Thyrza (Charles) Boring Jr., of Warsaw; Marlene Bailey, of Pierceton; one brother, Elam Bailey, of Winona Lake; and many nieces, nephews and many great-nephews and great-nieces; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Juanita Wooten; and two brothers: Joey Joseph Bailey and William W. Bailey.
Matthew will be greatly missed and loved.
A cremation service will take place will a military honor salute for Matthew at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, on May 20 between 1 and 2 p.m.

I don't even know where to start with this, but Matt and I have a long history together ranging almost 30yrs. All I can say is I will miss my friend so much. We always had good times together regardless of what we were upto. Our laughter, is what I am going to hold on to.
