SYRACUSE – Linda L. Smith passed into the arms of Jesus with family by her side on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Hospice Home of Fort Wayne.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1948, in Warsaw, to Warren and Wilma Weade Mock. On Aug. 13, 1966, she married Harold Smith, who survives.

Linda lived in this area all of her life, she was a homemaker, but worked outside the home at area factories for short periods of time.

Over the years, she enjoyed watching her birds at the feeders, taking rides in the country, visiting Cedar Point and seeing the shows and people watching, walking outside, attending auctions, crocheting, collecting numerous things, as well as her love of reading. She was also a past member of TOPS and was very successful while a member.

In addition to her husband Harold, she is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Tony) Manley, of Wakarusa; sons, Rob (Ralynn) Smith, of Cromwell; and Ryan (Britni) Smith, of Goshen; her stepdaughter, Tammy Smith, of Wawaka; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren that she loved but didn’t get to see nearly enough; brothers, Dennis (Laurie) Mock, Helena, Mont.; Tim (Diane) Mock, of Pierceton; and a sister, Cheryl Mock, of Syracuse.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sheila Taylor.

A family graveside gathering will take place at Mock cemetery North Webster on Saturday, May 23 at 2 p.m.
