Larry K. Gochenour, age 76, of Etna Green, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka.

Larry was born on Nov. 5, 1945, to Lewis and Ethel “Peg” Wallace Gochenour in Plymouth. Larry was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Triton High School in 1964. He married Susan D. Sparks on June 19, 1965, and she preceded him in death on June 26, 2018. Larry was a truck driver and hauled livestock, after which he drove truck for Walmart before retiring. He was the founding father of the Chicago Stockyard Collectors Club. He also enjoyed collecting historical items, woodworking and pony racing.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Tana (William) Elliott, of Claypool; his son, Kirk (Kelly) Gochenour, of Bourbon; his grandchildren: Derick Elliott, Zakary Elliot, Sydney (Kyle) Faucett, Wyatt Gochenour; his great-grandchildren: Emmersyn Elliott, Evelyn Faucett; his brothers: Joe (Alana) Gochenour, of Winona Lake; and Steve (Vicky) Gochenour, of Columbus.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ethel Gochenour; his wife, Susan Gochenour; and his brother, Terry Gochenour.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, Aug. 5 at 11:05 a.m. at Etna Green Cemetery, 10305 W. CR 300N (High Street), Etna Green.

In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to Etna Green Museum, 338 S. Walnut St., Etna Green, IN 46524; or to The Stockyard Club, 5 Seneca W., Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047.
