Janet Sue Davis of Warsaw went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 3:17 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at her residence at the age of 76.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1941, in Paintsville, Ky., to Dora Ratliff May and John May. On Jan. 1, 1959, she was married to Eugene Davis, who survives.

Janet has been a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 70 years, and she went to school in Warsaw. She was a member of Amazing Grace Community Church, Sidney; loved gardening and canning; and she especially loved preparing for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners — she was a fabulous cook.

Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be forever loved and dearly missed.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Davis, Warsaw; five sons: Richard (Linda) Davis, Warsaw; James (Brandi) Davis, Mentone; William (Charity) Davis, Pierceton; Mark (Peggy) Davis, Warsaw; and Michael (Michelle) Davis, Warsaw; two daughters, Nina Brown, Warsaw, and Debra (Salvador) Menchaca, Warsaw; and 101 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shirley, in 1960; two brothers; two sisters; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Ballard Wood and Pastor Don Arms.

Burial will follow with a graveside service at Palestine Cemetery.
