James “Jim” C. Shepherd died suddenly Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 26, 1962, to Johnie and Jackelene Warrix Shepherd.

Jim graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 1980. He was employed by Medtronics from 1999 to 2009, Summit Aeronautics, Helena, Mont., from 2009 to 2011 and most recently, Pargon Medical from 2011 to the present as a machinist. He was a member of the N.R.A.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Johnie Shepherd.

He is survived by mother, Jackelene Shepherd; son, Dylan Shepherd; stepson, James Tinder; stepdaughter, Jessica (Sam) Chandadai; stepson, Travis Bays; and stepson, Ayden Gaerte. He is also survived by his brother, John (Sandy) Shepherd; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter. He loved spending time on his boat(s) or golfcart. Jim spent many years in California and Montana. He spent the majority of his life in Indiana. In his younger years he ran track, played the guitar and rode motorcycles. In addition, he was an avid gardener.

Visitation hours are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Public graveside services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24 at noon in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake. Bob Jarboe will officiate.
