SYRACUSE – Bonnie S. Peck, 76, of Syracuse, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Avalon Village Nursing Home in Ligonier.

She was born on Oct. 9, 1942, in Ligonier, to Robert and Kathryn Keasey Gunder.

She attended Ligonier High School and was a lifetime Ligonier/Syracuse area resident. She was formerly employed at Monsanto in Ligonier and Cromwell Products. She also was a waitress, bartender and cook for Smitty’s Bar and Anchor Bar, both in Syracuse.  

She formerly attended the United Brethren Church in Ligonier.

She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Schmuck of Friday Harbor, Wash., and Sandra (Mark) Mignery of Cromwell; a son, Stephen Schmuck of Friday Harbor; five grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Gunder of Syracuse; and a brother, Steve Iden of North Webster

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Walter Schmuck, great-granddaughter Samantha Muchowicz and brother Edward Gunder.

No public services will be held.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.

Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
