Anthony Joe “Tony” Wilson, 71, Sidney, passed away at 11:47 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at his home.

He was born Jan. 14, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., to Jackson and Mary Wiltshire Wilson.

He graduated from Granite City (Ill.) High School and attended Edison College, Bellville, Ill.

He served in the United States Marine Corps and was married in November 1966 to Elaine Worley, who preceded him in 2016.

He worked in the shrimp runs in Florida, was a truck driver for many years, and moved to Sidney in 2016 from Naples, Fla.

He was a former member of the Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by a son, Jeremiah Wilson, Montana; two sisters, Yvonne (Harold) Lent, Sidney, and Deborah (Mark) Martin, St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Monte (Mary) Wilson, Akron, and John Wilson, San Diego, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Toni Jo Wilson; sister, Arleta Tatum; and brother, Aaron Wilson.

No public services are planned.

Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
