Allen Eugene Wagoner

NAPPANEE – Allen Eugene Wagner, age 80, of Warsaw, died at 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his residence in Palmview, Texas.
Allen was born on Sept. 30, 1942, in Elkhart, to Francis and Maxine Canen Wagner. He was a 1960 graduate of Nappanee High School and lived most of his life in Northern Indiana and had recently began wintering for six months a year in Texas. He worked for over 30 years as a supervisor at R.R. Donnelley in Warsaw. He also worked at Creative Sew Threads in Elkhart. Allen was a past president and longtime member of the Gold Wing Road Rider’s Association in Warsaw. Allen was also the official scorekeeper or statistician for the NorthWood High School basketball team for approximately 40 years.
On May 7, 1988, Allen married Glenna Russell at the Wakarusa Methodist Church. She survives after 34 years of marriage along with three children: Michael (Karen) Wagner, of Nappanee; Jason (Natalie) Wagner, of Otsego, Minn.; and Lloyd “Charlie” (Gayle) Miller, of Warsaw; eight grandchildren: Brandyn Miller, Clarksville, Tenn.; Deric (Regina) Serna, of Angola; Trent (Kyle Bautsch) Wagner, of Houston, Texas; Lydia Wagner, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Nathan (Brittany) Wagner, of Wakarusa; Madeline (Chase Allen) Wagner, of Salina, Kan.; Ashley (Tyler) Johnson, Indianapolis; Amber Miller, Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; and Brandt Miller, Bourbon; five great-grandchildren; brother, Randy (Diane) Wagner, of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Marguerite Adams, of Nappanee; and Marcia Yocum of Bristol. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lowellita Miller; sister, Marla Deter; and brother, Kenny Wagner.
Visitation will be held at Thompson-Lenagacher Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee on April 5 from 3 to 7 p.m. followed by a funeral service at the funeral home beginning at 7 p.m. Pastor Scott Mann, of Wakarusa United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Memorials can be made in Allen’s name to the American Cancer Society, NorthWood basketball or Warsaw Gold Wing Road Riders.
