SOUTH WHITLEY – Tippecanoe Valley won by committee Wednesday.

The Vikings’ coed soccer team had five goal scorers in a 5-0 Three Rivers Conference win at Whitko.

“We played well,” said Valley coach Andy?Luce. “We have really struggled so far this season, but we are slowly making progress. Our passing against Whitko was good, and our goal output was the best so far this season so?I’m happy to see that.”

Valley’s first-half goals came courtesy of Jacob Bailey, Arturo Rosas and Uvaldo Gutierrez for the 3-0 lead at the break.

Caleb Pentgen and Harrison Vining kicked in two goals in the second half for the 5-0 win.

Luce credited the back line of Jacob Jones, Jorge Rosas and Alexis Aguilar with moving the ball forward for Valley’s offense.

He also commended?Vining and Arturo Dominguez for strong passing that created scoring opportunities.

“Really, everyone played well and contributed to a total team effort,” Luce said.

Whitko coach Christian Castillo complimented Chase Castillo’s defensive play and Raphael Putze’s performance on offense.

He also commended Austin Kreps’ effort in goal, and Brayden Moore for forcing turnovers.

“They played hard and had a few close chances, but it was not their night,” coach Castillo said.

The?Vikings are 3-8 overall and 3-5 in the TRC TRC, while Whitko is 0-8 and 0-7.
