Snep Strikeouts 10; Whitko Heads To Sectional Final

CONVERSE – The Whitko Lady Wildcat softball team won 4-0 against Wabash in the Oak Hill Sectional on Wednesday.

Whitko’s Ellie Snep pitched a shutout. She allowed two hits and had 10 strikeouts. She also had a double and an RBI at the plate.

Reannon Hopkins had a single and two RBIs. Emmy Duggins, Augusta Garr, Anna Ousley and Harley Bradley all had singles.

The Lady Wildcats play Oak Hill tonight in the sectional championship.

Whitko Closes Season With Loss To Wabash

WABASH – The Whitko baseball team lost 10-0 in a five-inning game to Wabash on Wednesday in the Wabash Sectional.

Wabash tallied two or more runs in four of the five innings and outhit Whitko 8-4.

The Wildcats committed five errors in the game, while the Apaches had zero.

Whitko’s Kyle Knutson hit a double. River West, Mason Lehman and Spencer Sroufe all had hits.

West took the loss on the mound. He went five innings and allowed eight hits, 10 runs, walked two and struck out four.
