SOUTH WHITLEY – Monday was one, two, three for the Wawasee volleyball team.

The Lady Warriors won 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 in a non-conference match at Whitko.

Wawasee had several athletes excel all around the court.

Elizabeth Kleopfer led the charge for the Lady Warriors (10-9) with seven kills, 17 assists, eight digs and two aces.

Also strong offensively were Madison Simmons with eight kills, Hannah Gaerte, also spiking eight kills, and Ava Rush, who finished with five kills.

The Lady Warriors’ Ashley Vazquez pulled off some stellar passing and tallied seven assists on the night.

Defensively, Wawasee was led by Brooke Heche’s 11 digs, while Peyton Rookstool added seven digs.

The victory comes on the heels of Wawasee’s 2-2 performance Saturday in its own invitational.

The Lady Warriors will be back in action when they host rival Warsaw Thursday at 7 p.m.

Whitko stats were not available. The Lady Wildcats (1-8) will host Wabash today at 6 p.m.
