Manchester at Whitko

SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko remained perfect in Three Rivers Conference play Thursday night, defeating Manchester 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-19). The Lady ‘Cats are now 10-1, 4-0 in the TRC and have not lost a set in their last three matches. The Lady Squires are now 4-10, 1-2 in the TRC.

Olivia Davis had four kills for Manchester, as well as 16 digs. Both were team highs. Whitko will play at the Triton tournament Saturday, while Manchester stays in conference play Tuesday at Rochester.

Boys Soccer

Manchester at Eastbrook

MARION – Manchester soccer continued its fantastic start with a 6-1-nonconference victory over Eastbrook Thursday. The Squires are now 7-1-1 this season.

Three players scored two goals apiece for Manchester. Tyler McLain, Nathanial Miller and Michael Ortiz all recorded braces for the Squires, with Miller and Ortiz also notching two assists as well. Kolby Haecker made eleven saves in net.

Manchester continues nonconference play with a road game at Oak Hill Monday.

Lakeland at Wawasee

SYRACUSE – Wawasee got back into the win column Thursday night, defeating Lakeland 1-0 at home in a nonconference matchup. The Warriors are now 6-2-1 this fall.

Wawasee was able to score the contest’s lone goal in the second half to secure the win. The Warriors play again on Monday against Bremen.

Tippecanoe Valley at Marion

MARION – Tippecanoe Valley boys soccer won its second straight game Thursday, defeating Marion on the road in a 6-4 shootout. The Vikings are now 5-3 this season.

Five different Valley players scored goals, led by Christian Ramirez, who had two. Andreas Rosas and Gio Arriaga also scored a goal while contributing two assists. The Vikings take on Culver Community on the road Monday.

Girls Soccer

Warsaw at Concord

ELKHART – Warsaw girls soccer won its third straight match Thursday, defeating Northern Lakes Conference foe Concord 1-0 on the road. The Tigers are now 7-2-2, 5-0 and in first place in the NLC.

Sarah Kratzsch scored the game-winning goal for Warsaw in the second half. The Tigers play a nonconference match at Fort Wayne Northrop Monday night.

Eastbrook at Manchester

NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester girls soccer tied for the second time this season Thursday night, finishing 1-1 with Eastbrook. The Lady Squires are now 3-4-2.

Jennifer Perez scored the goal for Manchester, and the team is back in action Monday against Tippecanoe Valley.
