BLOOMINGTON – Indiana University hosted the Indiana High School Girls Track and Field State Finals on Friday.

Hamilton Southeastern won the team title with a score of 62. Brebeuf Jesuit (44) finished second, Warren Central (40) was third, Carmel (38) fourth and Perry Meridian (32) tallied fifth.

Warsaw did not receive a point during the meet.

Lady Tiger Mia Beckham finished 12th in the 1600-meter race. She ran a 5:08.70 for Warsaw’s top result at the meet. She also finished 22nd in the 3200-meter event. She crossed the finish in 11:08.51.

Emma Bohnenkamper finished  27th in the 1600.

Alexie Day earned 14th in the high jump. She cleared the bar at 5 feet, 4 inches.

The 4x800-meter relay of Carmen Yoder, Ashlynn Hepler, Adree Beckham and Remi Beckham ended in 22nd. The unit ran a time of 9:49.51.

The 4x400 quartet of Angie Sanchez-Vijil, Adree Beckham, Maygan Bellamy and Remi Beckham competed at the meet for Warsaw.

Makayla Clampitt competed in the  100-meter sprint. She had a time 12.59 seconds in her heat. Abbigail Curtis had a time of 26.17 seconds in the 200-meter dash during her heat.

The boys state meet will begin today at 3 p.m. Tippecanoe Valley, Warsaw and Wawasee all have student-athletes competing in the finals.
