Boys Basketball
Mishawaka at Warsaw
The Warsaw boys basketball team earned a dramatic win Thursday night, defeating Mishawaka 57-54 at the Tiger Den. The Tigers are now 11-7 this winter, 4-2 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Warsaw erased a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to come back and win the game. Leading the charge was senior Drew Heckaman, who finished his night with a career-high 25 points, including 12 in the fourth. Fellow senior Jaxson Gould also got it done on the offensive end, finishing with 16. Trai Davis added eight.
The Tigers host Chesterton Saturday afternoon.
Northridge at Wawasee
Wawasee was unable to keep up with visiting Northridge Thursday night, falling 74-54 to the Raiders at the Hardwood Teepee. The Warriors are now 6-12, 1-5 in the NLC.
Myles Everingham led the team in scoring with 15 points, followed closely by Collin Roberson’s 12. Maddux Everingham rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.
Wawasee hosts Elkhart Christian on Tuesday.
Northfield at Manchester
Manchester put together another dominant performance Thursday night, dismantling visiting Northfield 78-44. The Squires ate now 13-4 this season, 5-1 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Gavin Betten scored 30 points for his squad. Ethan Hendrix ended his night with eleven points while Gavin Martin added 10.
Manchester will hold senior night Friday before taking on Peru in a game with massive conference implications.
Whitko at North Miami
Whitko picked up its first Three Rivers Conference victory of the season Thursday, defeating North Miami 60-50. The Wildcats are now 3-12 this winter, 1-6 in the TRC. The team plays its next game Saturday against Garrett.
Triton at Argos
Triton battled back from a nine-point deficit at halftime to force overtime but were unable to end up on top, falling 50-45 to Argos in OT. The Trojans are now 8-7 this season and play their next game Saturday against Caston.
Lakeland Christian at Lakewood Park Christian
Lakeland Christian looked very good on the road Thursday night, defeating Lakewood Park Christian 56-36. The Cougars are now 13-3.
Seth Martin was electric once again, finishing his evening with 26 points. Alex Cook shot the ball very well, hitting four threes on his way to scorng 17. Micah Martin added eight points.
LCA plays at Smith Academy Saturday.
