NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester University M Association will add four new members to its Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 12.

This year's Hall of Fame class includes men's basketball standout Chad Berry, women's basketball standout and HCAC Athlete of the Decade Kelley Meiklejohn, three-time All-American wrestler Jamie Salazar, and school record holder in track & field and cross country Molly (Sanders) Kurtz.

Joining the four inductees will also be the 2019 Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year recipient, legendary Indiana high school baseball coach Dick Siler.

The five honorees will be recognized at halftime of Manchester's football game against Mount St. Joseph, which kicks off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday October 12.  Following the football game, the honorees will be honored at the annual induction ceremony in the Jo Young Switzer Center beginning at 5 p.m.

Chad Berry – 1998

Men's Basketball

• 1995 NCAA Division III National Runner-Up.

• Played for both Steve Alford and Dick Hunsaker.

• Helped lead the basketball team to 82 wins during his four years at Manchester.

• 10th all-time in scoring with 1,315 career points.

• Three-time First Team All-ICAC performer (1996-98).

 Kelley Meiklejohn – 2009

Women's Basketball

• Started all four years of her Black and Gold career for head coach Josh Dzurick.

• Led the Spartans to 75 wins and three straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearances (2006-08).

• Second all-time in scoring with 1,503 career points.

• Four-time All-HCAC selection.

• Represented Manchester on the HCAC All-Decade Team in 2009.

Jamie Salazar – 2004

Wrestling

• Wrestled for former athletic director and Manchester Hall of Famer Tom Jarman.

• Three-time All-American and conference champion (2001-2003).

• Fifth all-time in Manchester history with 118 wins.

• Fourth all-time for wins in a single season with 38 (2003).

Molly (Sanders) Kurtz – 2005

Cross Country

Track & Field

• NCAA Qualifier and school record holder in the 3000m steeplechase (11:07.3 – 2005).

• Four-time HCAC Champion in 3000m steeplechase (2002-2005).

• Four-time All-HCAC honoree in cross country (2001-04).

• Two-time All-Great Lakes Region performer in cross country.

Dick Siler – Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year – 1957

• Played football for Manchester College in the 1950s, graduated in 1957.

• Spent three decades as an educator and high school baseball coach at Elkhart High and Elkhart Memorial High Schools in northern Indiana.

• Had a career record of 576-355-15, good for a .618 winning percentage.

• Indiana High School Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee in 1992.

• Entering his 23rd season as an assistant baseball coach at Bethel College in Mishawaka.

• Founding and lifetime member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
