WINONA LAKE – Theran McKeever pulled off a hat trick to lead the Lakeland Christian boys soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Culver on Tuesday in a home match.

“We finally put together an excellent defensive performance,” said Lakeland Christian coach Dan Miller. “Landon Paris did a great job of communicating to our backline, and Aiden McQuade won ball after ball in midfield.”

Micah Mansfield and Landon Twombly tallied assists for the Cougars (7-2-1).

Lakeland Christian’s Remington Swanson was in the net with seven saves, while the Cougars had 13 shots on goal. 

“This is a performance that we can grow from and get better as we surge toward sectionals,” Miller said.



Burns Heats Up For Warsaw Tigers

NAPPANEE – Blake Burns scored two first-half goals to propel the Warsaw boys soccer team to a 4-0 win Tuesday in a Northern Lakes Conference match at NorthWood.

Jore Rico and Payne Rager also scored, while Jose Lara and Isaiah VanPuffelen registered assists.

Warsaw is 7-2-3, 3-0-1 NLC.



Lady Warriors Fall To Eagles

COLUMBIA CITY – Sara Pritchard and Natalie Winters scored goals, but the Wawasee girls soccer team fell 5-2 Tuesday at Columbia City.

Winters and Kendra Doerr tallied assists for the Lady Warriors (1-8-1), while Sam Kolberg was in the net with 12 saves.



Lady Tigers Bounce Back

The Warsaw volleyball team rebounded from a loss to Penn by beating Columbia City 3-0 Tuesday in a home match.

The Lady Tigers (13-3) won 25-10, 25-17, 25-17. 

Kacy Bragg registered 23 assists and Kylie Smith tallied 10 digs for Warsaw, while Kennedy Lauck recorded six kills.

Warsaw’s Addie Dickeroff posted six digs, and Rachel Yeager  and Allisson Heinrich notched five kills each. 

Warsaw’s JV team (10-5) won 25-13, 25-13, while Warsaw’s freshman team won 25-23, 25-16.



Lady Trojans Soar Past ECA Eagles

ELKHART – The Triton volleyball team won 3-0 Tuesday at Elkhart Christian.

The Lady Trojans won 25-14, 25-13, 25-9.

Triton’s Lexia Hostrawser had 11 kills and Abby Viers recorded eight kills.

Dylanie Miller recorded 16 assists and Emma Hepler added 12 for the Lady Trojans, while Alyxa Viers posted five aces and 10 digs and Jaela Faulkner recorded 14 digs.

Triton topped Elkhart Christian 24-25, 25-12, 15-10 in the JV match.



Valley Lights Up LaVille

AKRON – Sophie Bussard posted 10 kills and eight digs as the Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team won 25-13, 25-8, 25-15 Tuesday against LaVille in a home match.

Sarah Myers had 15 assists for the Lady Vikings (11-7).

Valley won the JV match 22-25, 25-22, 15-11.



Triton Sweeps Conference Match

BOURBON – The Triton boys tennis team breezed to a 5-0 victory Tuesday over conference foe LaVille in a home match.

John Gardner earned a sweep at No. 1 singles, while Jared Bules topped David Clayton 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.

The Trojans (5-9, 3-2 Hoosier North Conference) won the rest of their matches by forfeit. 



Manchester Edged By Wabash Apaches

WABASH – The Manchester boys tennis team lost 3-2 Tuesday in a Three Rivers Conference match at Wabash.

Brady Wiley won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Squires (3-5, 2-2 TRC), while the No. 2 doubles team of Logan Parrett and Quinn Martin won 6-0, 6-1.

Grant Strobel earned an 8-0 win at No. 1 singles in Manchester’s lone JV match.



Ray leads Lady Tigers To Win Over Whitko

NORTH MANCHESTER – Izzy Ray shot a 44 to lead the Warsaw girls golf team to a 193-215 victory over Whitko on Tuesday at Sycamore Golf Club.

Madelyn Ray shot a 47 for Warsaw, while Julia Hildebrand and Miriam Hagg shot 51s and Grayson Kilburn carded a 52. 

Warsaw’s JV team shot a 197, led by Anna Morgan’s 46. 

Marie Frazzetta posted a 48 for the Lady Tigers, while Sydney Lancaster shot a 50, Delaney Byron scored a 53, and Brooklyn Fitzgerald had a 61.

Whitko was led by Augusta Garr’s 50, while Erin Starkweather shot a 53, Bailey Wright posted a 55, and Summer West carded a 57.

Warsaw finished its season at 12-4 and will compete in a sectional at Stonehenge Golf Club on Saturday at 9 a.m.
