COLUMBIA CITY – The Manchester Lady Squires improved to 2-0 in head-to-head matches Wednesday with a 178-193 win over Columbia City at Eagle Glen Golf Club.

Kelsey Eichenauer led Manchester with a 38 and earned medalist honors. Madyson Ulrey and Sam Kissell carded a 42 and 46, respectively, while Cora Barnett finished with a 52.

Alissa Bickerstaff shot 56 for the Lady Squires, and Morgan Stroud rounded out Manchester’s lineup with a 64.

“I’m proud of the girls’ rounds today. We are finally starting to get to see the results of all the girls’ hard work,” said Manchester coach Josh Troyer.

“Madyson had her best round of the season and we had three really solid scores at the top. We will continue to see those scores drop as we fine tune our swings and continue to grow mentally. I love that we are driving our own bus and seizing the moment.”

Katie Hoag led Columbia City with a 44, while teammate Leah Bechtold was one stroke back.

The Lady Squires are in action again Thursday when they host Peru.
