SOUTH WHITLEY – Tanner Gaff, Hunter Sroufe and Garrett Smiley all hit home runs for Whitko in the Wildcats’ 14-6 win over visiting Churubusco Monday night.
Sroufe finished with three hits on the night. He scored four times and drove in three runs. He was also the winning pitcher in relief, tossing 2-2/3 innings of shutout baseball.
Alex Bechtold, Zach Hewitt and Smiley had three hits each as well, and Smiley drove in four runs.
The win closed out the regular season for Whitko. The ‘Cats will take a 22-6 record into the 2A Wabash Sectional matchup with Cass on Wednesday.
