NAPPANEE – Northridge won the Northern Lakes Conference boys golf tournament by one shot over Warsaw, 320-321, Saturday at McCormick Creek Golf Course in Nappanee.
Wawasee finished sixth at 339.
The Raiders were paced by medalist Luke Morrison, who carded a 2-under par 70. Warsaw placed four players in the top 15, including Tim Rata, third place with a 75, and Michael Jensen’s 80, good for 10th place. Luke Delp and Tommy Meier each carded 83s and tied for 13th with Northridge’s Hayden Klotz.
Wawasee’s Cal Heinisch tied for sixth with Plymouth’s Micah Calhoun, each with a 77. Warrior senior Jeffrey Moore was a shot back with a 78. Cam Adams had a 90, Kyle Weideman a 94 and Dillon Drake a 97.
Rata and Moore were named to the all-conference team, while Heinisch and Yeager were honorable mention.
Both Wawasee and Warsaw will play in the Bob Turner Classic today at Tippecanoe Country Club near Leesburg.
